For over three decades, the Gospel Pace Setting Ministries (GPM) has been more than a church; it has been a vessel of transformation in Pakwach District and across Northern Uganda. Our story began in 1992, born from a powerful, dual-compassion: a passion for the salvation of souls and a deep-seated commitment to the tangible well-being of our community.
Registered as a Civil Society Organization in Uganda (Reg. No. 806), we operate as a dynamic Faith-Based Organization (FBO). This means our foundation is unshakably built on the Word of God, while our hands are actively extended to serve the physical needs of the people around us. We believe the Gospel is not merely a message to be heard, but a life-changing truth that must be lived out through love in action.
At the very core of GPM beats the rhythm of the Great Commission. Our entire existence is framed by the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
This scripture is not a passive plaque on our wall; it is our divine mandate. It is the blueprint for our beliefs, the compass for our attitudes, and the fuel for our actions. Every sermon preached, every leader trained, and every community project launched is a direct response to this call.
We see our mission as having two hands—one lifted in worship and service to God, and the other extended in service to our neighbor.
“To teach the people, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” We are dedicated to the pure, unadulterated teaching of God’s Word, leading people to a saving knowledge and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
“To meet the spiritual and physical needs of communities with Christ-led approaches.” We are committed to partnering with other Christian Fellowships to disciple Uganda through church and community-based programmes that bring about complete and lasting change.
We intentionally create a family where everyone is seen, valued, and cared for as Christ loves us.
We maintain a constant and trusting conversation with God, relying on Him for everything.
We honor God's greatness and holiness in everything we do, both individually and together.
We freely share our time, resources, and love because we know God generously provides for us.
We actively look for ways to serve and bless others in our community, just as we would want them to do for us.
We remain humble students of God's Word, always seeking to grow deeper in our faith and understanding.
We find our purpose and joy in using our God-given gifts to build up the church and serve others.
We work diligently to maintain peace and harmony, embracing our differences as we unite in Christ.
We celebrate the joy of salvation with genuine laughter, fellowship, and gladness.

As a faith-based organization, our calling is holistic. Beyond evangelism, we are committed to community transformation through Christ-led approaches. This involves practical projects and programmes that uplift our community, aligned with our goal to serve both the spiritual and physical well-being of the people in Pakwach and the wider West Nile region.
The best way to get connected is through our Mid-Week Connect Services held in various celebration points across the community. These smaller gatherings are perfect for building deeper relationships. You can also get involved by joining one of our ministry teams or attending our quarterly fellowships, like the marrieds' fellowship. Our Annual Conference is a key three-day event for 200 of our GPM leaders and partners. It focuses on equipping and unifying the church through intensive training, workshops on improving church service delivery, and powerful team-building activities. It is a pivotal time for refreshing our leaders and strategizing for the year ahead.
Our beliefs are firmly rooted in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19). We believe in the authority of the Bible for teaching and salvation, the power of prayer, and the importance of worship. Our nine core values—including Love, Generosity, Service, and Unity—guide everything we do. You can read more about them on our "Our Values" page.
We are deeply committed to building capacity in church ministry and leadership.
